It is crafted from certified 925 sterling silver, which is naturally a softer, lightweight metal. This softness allows for beautiful, intricate details, but it also means thin bands are vulnerable to bending. It’s also quite common for silver to naturally darken or tarnish due to contact with air, hand lotions, perfumes, or even the natural oils and pH chemistry of your skin. For some people, this reaction happens very quickly, while for others it takes longer. It depends on a number of factors such as genetics, climate, humidity, lifestyle, and daily activities. Fortunately, this tarnishing is at the surface level, and the shine can easily be restored with a soft cloth and silver polish.
That said, especially since this was a gift for your friend, we want to make sure she ends up with a present she really enjoys. Edit: after wearing the ring once it has:
Stained my friends finger
Gotten stained itself
And bended severely
I have rings i bought for €10 that are in great condition after years of wear compared to a single outing
